The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant.

We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

I wanted to paint something “out of the blue”. Choosing multiple shades of blue and a scant bit of yellow, I let the paint go where it wanted. Its kind of like the mind wandering and then the spark of an idea not yet fully formed. Couldn’t decide if it looked like water or a nebula in space. It sat in my studio waiting for a name, when I came across this quote by Albert Einstein.

This painting is for sale. If you wish to purchase , please contact me.

Last night

I was lying on the rooftop,

thinking of you.

I saw a special star,

and summoned her

to take you a message…

My paintings are most often influenced  by dreams, poetry and music. When something touches me, it paints a picture in my mind. And I can’t rest until I create an interpretation. This part of the poem made me reminiscent of thinking of people who I haven’t seen for a while. I feel the swirl of emotion and awe while looking at the night sky and hope they feel as blessed as I do for happy memories.

I hope it reminds you of happy memories too.

Gerri’s Beautiful Kitchen

Ok, sometimes an artist has to paint things other than canvas and glass. So this is my fabulous client Gerri’s cabinets that I painted. I had faux painted them several years ago. The faux was perfectly intact because of my tested process. But Gerri keeps up with style and design, so an update was in order.  Decorator gray and black cabinets in a low luster sheen. This could be on a design magazine cover! Hope you love it too!
